Howdy folks, I am new to this board; but my friend has been growing for over ten years. In which time we have made keef together by using screens and of course smoked alot of nice bud! He would like to know HOW TO MAKE HASHISH with the upcoming harvest, to see if it would not waste the incredible amounts of bud that making keef did last year. I was hoping someone here could help. One fellow tells me that he must boil his plants for long hours, then skim the oil off the top, then mix with grain alcohol to evaporate moisture.....this just doesnt sound right to me and my bud as we know that heat deteriorates THC and the hashish we have bought definately demonstrated characteristics of higher THC levels. If anyone knows the correct process, a detailed reply would be greatly appreciated.

Well, there are lots of ways to make hash. The way I am gonna try is the cold water extraction method I have read all the different ways and I found a guy selling screenbags to be used with the CWE method, as well as seeing the results of the bag and the process it was way kewl and looked quite easy ... no flammable chemicals Just ice and cold water and a screen basically. There is a book that the name and author escape me right now but I believe I have seen it over in the books forum at www.marijuana.com. Here is a link of the process with picts

Thanks for the enlightening, I have reviewed the entire process which is much like the process we used for our Keef last year...the yield looks to be about the same or less with this process. I am sure it is a very very good high, unfortunately we don't expect to have a whole lot to work with...and like to have the high quality smoke around a bit longer. My friend would be willing to sacrifice quality some to raise yield. Also my friend recently purchased some tar hash for $8/gram ....I find it hard to believe that someone used 6oz +/- to make 1 oz of this stuff and sold it for just $240.00.....at those prices I would say they are probably turning a 2-3 to 1 ratio at the most....ANYONE KNOW ANOTHER PROCESS BESIDES COLD WATER??? Preferably with higher yields, but I will take any info I can get.....I hate ignorance so much as to learn anything I can. Thanks for the help!

eeerrmmmm have you ever heard of hand rubbing? i have noticed one major thing on this board, the most common form MJ is here in the UK is as hash, but over there it seems everyone smokes weed, just thought i would put it out there.

What do you mean by hand rubbing?
Can the small home grower do it?
Will it make the buds weaker or damage them?
I thought that England had more hash because it is easier to import, and England imports most of its’ dope.
I am in Australia and hash is very hard to get here. I grow and get about 150-200g of manicured bud every three months, which gives me about the 100-150g of leaf.
I have tried cold water extraction and got a lousy 4.5g of hash out of my 100g of leaf.
I would have been upset if I had got those bags for US$200, but luckily I got a 200 micron, & a 40 micron filter bag for nothing from work.
