![]() | Hi All On the subject of hash oil making. i notice that most of the posts recommend using Everclear, As this is a U.S product. i was wondering what those of us in the U.K would use. Any help or advice would be appreciated. As i've done the required reading of old posts and found nothing. thanks

What you need is Isopropyl alcohol. I found this here http://www.erowid.org/plants/cannabi...bis_info.shtml

![]() | don't use isopropanol. you could, but the yeild will be much less. THC is much more soluble in ethanol. You can get ethanol at a liquor store (highly taxed) or you can also get it at a hardware store or drug store/ pharmacy (not taxed). The ethanol from a hardware/drug store is exactly the same as Everclear, with a little ethyl acetate added. So it will work perfect for making hash, but do not drink it. Cehck in the painting aisle by the other solvents

you are on a road to nowhere my friend, the ONLY place to get it is the chemist and they want to charge £9 for a miniscule bottle, I didn't ask what size bottle it was as it looked 3" tall I hunted everywhere for it, rang paint wholesalers and chemical suppliers using the excuse that I am a furniture restorer and needed alcohol as a solvent to remove victorian varnish residues, still couldn't get any. in the end a friend brought me some back from France, I used the alcohol method once (I doubt anyone uses this method more than once, unless they lived in the way out yonder) it REALLY stinks the house & neibourhood out bad. Then I discovered the Butain method, much better ![]()

![]() | Thanks guys .I don't like the sound of the butane method much ! i may try the ACETONE method though. But wondered if the U.S acetone is the same as ours ? Think i'll give it a try and post the results then we'll know for sure. Thanks Agian.
