anyone play with silicon? I've just checked the makeup of Canna nutes and it doesn't list Si

EDIT doesn't matter, I've found what I was after, GH do it as an adative

Yes I use Silicon every week, its wonderful stuff for massive plants with volumized cells, it also protects against high Ec and heat problems associated therewith. I have had great sucess with Silica (Budlink or any soluable Silica). Plants also produce phytolithic bi-products and these have an effect when Silica is added to solution.

After researching this more, I can't understand why 1, it's not already in the nutes and 2, why it's not mentioned much on here

I've put the best link I could find on Si in my sig to spread the word

I did a google on Budlink and found the product info at hydroshop.com.au which is also worth a read for the uninitiated
