So my question to all you smart people is: How does this work and could we construct a similar but cheaper type of system?St0ney Always on the lookout ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() | the ultra sonic fogger uses a peizo electric oscillator to vibrate the water into creatinging small micron size particles of nutrient rich water. the vapor is then pushed into the humidity chamber via fan normally or high spinning disk. the water then condensens and is returned to the resivour. could you build something similiar?, oh yeah, i had thought about this a while ago, and i have seen things while that may work just like it, but don't have the internal tank size to make it worth while. but you might find something different, so give it a go!

![]() | Hey Stonney, I built this little aeroponic fogger about six months ago but haven't tried it out yet. I used an ultrasonic fountain fogger that I purchased on Ebay for about $27. The fogger works best when it's submerged in about 2" of water so my design took that fact into consideration. The pump is a Rio 50 the smallest one I could get my hands on. The whole idea is to just keep the fogger submerged at all times with your nute solution. The pump slowly fills up the bottom cylinder and seeps up through the holes I've drilled in the top chamber. The parts are just different plastic containers I found around my house. I stick the "Hollyweed Haze House" (or H3 for short) in one of those large Rubbermaid containers that everyone uses for their aeroponic units. I add enough nute solution to cover the pump… the whole thing fogs up really well with the cover on. I'm not sure if it's enough to sustain a crop, though - but it might be fun to try. I think the baby plants would have to be hand watered until roots were showing through the net pots. I'm still trying to get the hang of my new aero unit so I'll probably try out the "H3" when I'm finished with my present grow. Best, Hollyweed

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks lab_rat I have been looking into this for the last few days.. Looks promising. ![]() Hollyweed - Hey your from my home town. Awesome H3 Let us know how it works if you ever get the chance. ![]() OK, this is what I found--> http://www.mainlandmart.com/foggers.html About 1/2 way down they have a 3 & 5 head foggers! I think thats what I need to get a good soaking. i'm going to try it with a smaller cheaper one to see if it does work. If it does then i'll move up to the High output 3 mister fogger or even the 5! Hey Hollyweed check out the Fogger buoy at the bottom of the page.I think I might be able to use a rubbermaid container like the aero filled with nutes and a fogger on a buoy running 24/7 or on a cycle timer. it outta fill the container up with oxygenated nutrient mist right? That way you don't need a drain or fan. Kind of like a 'high-tech' bubbler. Any thoughts on that? Anyone? St0ney

![]() | Stoney, You the man... the hell with the H3, the fogger buoy and the 3 or 5 fogger head seems to be the way to go! I think you're right, it would just be a "high tech" bubbler (without the airpump noise). Will it work? Who knows... but it sure is going to be fun to find out! Regards, Hollyweed

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Sorry Steve for not answering your question. That does look like the same kind of "fountain" fogger we are talking about. ![]() Now I have been doing so research on this and I've noticed not too many people are trying it. Humm.. Maybe it just needs a cool name.. Like Foggerponics.. What do you all think? ![]() Now being serious for a moment.. I have found a few discussion about trying this. Her are a few questions that were raised: Quote:

Most foggers are used for insect control in green houses. I wonder if they are made differently the these foggers? Here are some links to those:http://www.lightsdis.com/category/Pe...tors?offset=20http://www.hydroponics.com.au/curren...e/NP60.html#18 St0ney
