Does anybody know... ![]() I just read that if the TDS of your plain tap water "hard" (meaning a TDS of 200 or above) it can cause problems with the nutes and growth of the plants. Can anyone verify this? We have been having slow growth and everything else is ok - the light, ph, etc. BUT, the TDS of our tap water by iyself is near 300. We already got a water anaylsis from the city, but it doesn't help much. Will changing the water in the rez to distilled water make a difference? ( we are doing an aero grow, but I don't think that matters) Thanks! itch

![]() | try leaving the water out for a couple of days before using it. That should allow the chlorine in the water to evaporate hence giving you a lower TDS level. Using hydrogen peroxide also helps. If you take these measures, I can't see you having a problem related to your water supply.

![]() | Go with the distilled. I've found that anytime your plants start to look questionable or you realize that you may have over done it on the ferts.....distilled water will flush em and get things back to normal. Also....the distilling process takes out ****ty chems present in most tap or spring. Hope things work out for ya.... pharmer ![]() | ||
