I saw FUZZYWAZZY usese orange buckets. Does orange keep out the algae? I've been looking for black bucket but have not found any. Home Depot has all the orange one I want. | ||

Since switching to the orange bucket I’ve completely solved the problem. So I would say go for the orange!! ![]()

![]() | The Orange bucket is not light proof but maybe the color of it filters out some of the light. I am using a home Depot bucket atm. But, I used aluminum duct tape to cover the bucket. (better safe then sorry, makes me feel better when NO light gets in) | ||

![]() | I use the home depot buckets amnd lids as well, but I also covered both with about three layers of duct tape each just top be sure. I would rather go too far in the right direction than to open up my lid and see a bunch of algae growing on my baby.... | ||

Use aluminum tape, not duct tape on youre buckets. Duct tape has fibers that let light leeches through, unless you go 3 layers. IMO any color of bucket should be taped to be safe. | ||
