Here is a better pic of the set up. I have added a row a fans on a timer that blows across tops of the plants, and I have lowered the light to 8 inches above the plants, with the glass plate in the HPS, I could go closer, but the plants would not be in the direct light anymore!

Mutant palnt?? This is a new strain from Dutch Passion Sed Company, it is called SkyWalker, it is a Bublegum mix with

It is VERY strange looking and very dark leaves, It is getting thicker, and the leaves stems are growing longer, and it roots are coming out nicely, and it ALREADY has a skunky smell to it! But no new growth/leaves are coming up? Could it be some kind of mutant plant , or a VERY slow grower?

HI, can anyone tell me what the think of the plant that is in the above pics? is it a mutant plant? or is something wrong with it?

It is rooting fine, but next to no growth on the top, , maybe a second node coming out now :-) ( VERY LITTLE )

Regards.

nice setup !!!
That plant does look a little weird - it should b ok

I dont wanna b the one to spoil it - but you do know them systems can only support small plants, generally vegetables.. ?

I have a few older friends who use them systems outdoor, they had great success with lettuce and strawberries etc

There just isnt enough space to support a full grown root-mass

I too was thinking about getting one the last time i was at the hydrostore, luckily he explained there only for small plants

That doesnt mean you cant grow them and see what happens !!

PEACE !

Hi, well hope fully this keeps going, but I have had a few little problems, wife did not like it ( she was a faid to leave town and let the cat sitter see it )..

So I have completely redone a new system in a Keter 25" x 17" by 70" cabinet. completely enclosed, lined with mylar, and with about 59,850 lumens of High out put Biax Compact Fluo bulbs..

At the plant tops I am getting 50400 lumens, so it is like having a little more then a 430 watt HPS in lumens.. In the bottom ( only 4 plants ) I am doing supercropping idea in a 20 gallon resevoir, and using a 100% Aeroponics.. So now there is plenty of room for root growth now :-) I have 10 gallons of water in the res..

I have only had it running for 4 days now, and the plants are starting to adapt and grow again.. Boy do they smell skunky!!!

I will put up new pics soon.... ( and start a new thread )

Regards.

Hi Morphius.

I have an aero tube very similiar to yours & it has done a very good job for up to 2 plants. I am on my 3rd grow with it & will be supercropping as well.
My grow is on day 27. I posted pics of day 26 yesterday.
Up until now they have been in a 3 gallon bubbler. I will be transfering 3 of them to the aero tube this afternoon & starting the tieing process.
I,ll post picks when I'm done tieing them.

For those who have trained plants before please check out my thread tomorrow evening & tell me if I did the tieing correctly.

I hope you stayed with the same type of grow tube, because like I said I have had no problems growing plants 3' tall with the same tube.

Here is a pic of my grow tube.

Later Grow Bro.

Weel actually, this Idea was abandoned, for a cabinet grow area, that is totally in closed.. My wife had problems with how big it was, and how many plants ( she was afraid we could not go any where, or have people over ) so had to change it, The new one is doing great! the plante are now 26 inches tall, 4 of them all females, and they are in the 17th day of flowering, and have Buds Alll over them!

Will post up pics near the end of the grow..

PS it is100% compact fluos.. and they are doing Wounderfull.!

Regards.
