| Hello all, have been reading here for months, and finally got my first Aero-Hydro systems up and running. It is a design that is readily available on the Net for a small fee :-) I has been made A LOT smaller to fit into a bath tub in our spare bathroom that we have. I have not seen any body do this, but it seemed to make seance for a Hydro system to be in a Bath tub. Plus there is a nice skylight which allows extra light in. Specs : It has a 275 GPH pump in it, 12 gallon reservoir, 3/4 inch pipe and fittings through out, 3" net baskets, directional spray nozzles ( for yards watering systems ) 4" PVC pipe as the main pipes.. 430 watt SonAgro HydroFarm HPS. ( Plus there is a nice skylight which allows some natural light in ) General Hydroponics and Liquid Kama Nutes. It got it's first hour of burn in yesterday. The room stays at 82 on average with the light on. The water is at 6.1PH and the nuts 1100 PPM. I have it on 18/6 lighting for this week. The pump is set to run 15 minutes every hour. I have other herbs in some of the baskets, but in the others, I have SkyWalker and AK-47 ( Serious Seeds ) and S.A.G.E. ( all Super High THC plants ) all a week old. The light is at about 30" above the top of the plants. Please let me know if there is anything that I should adjust to make this all work better ?? Thanks for all your help! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Damn, that is some brilliant engineering! So you bought that off the net or you made it? “It is a design that is readily available on the Net for a small fee” I am assuming that you bought it or bought the plans. Whatever, it is fantastic looking either way. Are you going to get a Mylar shower curtain? ![]() You might want to put that light a little closer to avoid stretch, that white tile should be reflective enough. Good Luck! | ||

| Hello, The planes are from http://futuregarden.com. You can get it there, with plans for three different types of systems and all the info you will need about Hydroponics. I would put it up here for everyone to enjoy, but it is 5 meg in size! Then you have to buy the parts and put it all together ( 1 day of work ) . For all the parts, including the pump, it cose about $200.00, then another $275 for the light. so for everything it was about $750, for all the nuts, baskets, timers, and everything that was needed to grow.. Light is going closer today!! Will definately keep everyone updated.. Regards. Morphious Last edited by Lizzie Borden; 01-13-2003 at 07:26 PM.. | ||

| I will post up pics randomly, and figure out how to get the correct color pics in HPS lights! I have 4 feet high I can grow them in. So when do you think I should go into flowering? I have read that they can double to triple in size in Flowering. I this true with Hydro - Aero as well? or can they go even higher then that? I was thinking of going to about 1' 3" then start flowering stage. ( in theory that would make them 3.9 feet max ) Also want to try the SuperCropping idea on a few of them.. ( tying down branches ) Any suggestions would help... Morphious P.S. I am an Engineer ![]() Last edited by Lizzie Borden; 01-13-2003 at 07:27 PM.. | ||

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I would veg until they are a foot tall AFTER training them. So they would be 2-3 feet tall if not trained. With hydro/aero they will get even taller. Count on 3 times taller minimum! | ||

| What about Nutes? I am using General Hydroponics. I know the amounts at PPM. But what I would like to know is that as the plants use the nutes, does the PPM go down? ( that is how you can tell if they are being absorbed properly? ) then add more as it drops , or just wait and then to a complete water change ( lets say every week or two weeks? ) Any help would be appreciated! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You can do either of 2 things: Top off with ph balanced water Top off with the same nute solution Your nutes should tell you which one to do. General Hydroponics is a very good brand, and their website is very informative... They will probably have the answers there. I would post a link, but thats not allowed here. | ||
