Here's the pump connected inside the reservoir tub. Should be self-explanatory. The little black tube you see if the connector piece. It's flexible plastic, seems to work just fine. That's an electrical cord you see running across. Probably from one of the lights - just ignore it. Last edited by Him--; 11-01-2002 at 11:49 PM..

I used a hole saw cut twice next to each other and then filed together to make the oval that's cut out. That will be the access hole. The markings in sharpie will be drainage holes (also hole saw). The small hole at the top is for the pvc to the pump.

![]() | If you look in the bottom left corner of the last picture you can see some black electrical tape and a hose going through a hole into the reservoir. This is a small section of garden hose. The connector is outside of the tub. We use this to connect the reservoir to a sump pump and pump the nutrients into the bathtub in the bathroom. Makes it fairly straightforward to change nutrients. You could probably do something similar with a good pump that's running your sprayers. You could change the connecting piece for the PVC to the pump to a 3 way and have the split-off part go via a separate piece of PVC (and probably several right angle) out the top of the tub in a similar place. Put a PVC valve on the end of it outside the tub. You could then connect a hose to it and open up the valve. If you do this you would need to be careful to turn the pump off as soon as it ran out of nutrient solution. Letting the pump run dry will destroy it. We just happened to have an extra sump pump lying around.
