Ima first timer at hydro. My friend and I like the "water culture" setup and what I wanted to know is it possible to go without the "ph tester"? If I do what is a good tester at a reasonable price?

you don't need a tester, just get a test kit from a hydro shop. It's only like $7 for a kit that should last an entire harvest (+).

you definetely need some type of ph test kit or test....to many things can go wrong if your ph is out of balance...
you can aslo buy them at aquarium shops if there are no hydro stroes in area..

most ppl say 5.8 fer veg, 6.2 for flower, but keep it in between and yer peachy!
