As many of you may know by now, im lazy.. oh yeah im lazy..

so because i start chopping today(smaller ripe buds) and i want to try this, im using real lemon.

i got 1 1/2 oz of sugar and one whole lemon minced up on the juicer thingie, and boiled it all together.

i boiled a kettle then poured it over the ingredients.. the temperature wont damage any vital components will it? i guessed not.

well anyway, im gonna try it to flush my off cut buds l8r today.

cut flowers r just like cut flowers arent they? i mean if i stick a small cola in a glass of water, it will take it up.. course it will, ask a silly question.

ill let you know how it goes using lemon juice rather than citric acid.

a mate of mine rips up his plant than sticks the roots in to boiling water he says it disolves **** and sends it rushing up the stems to the buds perhaps these two things can be combined childish boiling water sugar and lemon, not something id do unless some one proved it first i got too many experiments to do myself

Boiling water on the roots isnt going to do a whole heap unfortunatley biologist but shock the rhizomes

yeah had me doubts, not something id do
anyway
i have found that something i add to my fert is making the plant mask the funky smell when dried

what i mean is my dry buds smell like dry hay untill you chop then the funky potent smell comes out do you think this would be caused by super phosphate or molases

Ok, I went out and got citric acid from Wild oats (it's in the bulk foods section 6.99 p/lbs) and raw sugar. I'm ready to mix this up but I need some one to double check my math.

Please let me know if my calculations are correct.
1 fl.oz = 6 tsp
1 tbsp = 3 tsp
1ml = 1/4tsp
1Liter = 1 Quart (QT)
4 QT = 1 Gallon

so using your formula of

You get 1 liter (1/4 of a gallon) of warm water then add 1 ounce (28gms) of Raw sugar and 28 gms (1oz) of citric acid. Mix it up till all the crystals disolve then store it in a opaque bottle. Add at the rate of 1 ml per litre or 1 coke capful per Gallon
I'm planning on mixing this in a 1QT (1L) H2O2 bottle so, I add 2 tbsp of both sugar & citric acid then fill it up with warm tap water right? Or would distilled be better? My tap water is kinda high @ 230ppm will that have negative effects?
Then I should add it to my reservoir once a week at a strength of 1 tsp per gallon, right?

I think so.. Just want to be sure.

1 quart = 963 ml

1 Gallon = 4.2 litres


Use bottled drinking water if possible, its best to heat the water in a pan, then desolve the sugar into the water totally then add the citric acid and desolve it totally, allow the solution to cool before bottling it and you want to ensure all the sugar and acid is desolved.

that should be enough incentive not to drop your plant if you use that stuff

Also.. has anyone seen any weird colours using iced tea mix? I'm just asking because looking at the ingredients for this powdered iced tea (America's Choice stuff,) it has artificial colouring in it (red 40,) and I'm wondering if the stems start to visibly discolour due to this.
