![]() | Guru, First you need to get some ph down. You can get it where you get your nutes. Just add a few drops at a time until you get your ph where you want it Second, did your directions tell you that you need to change your nutes on a regular basis. Remember the smaller the reservoir the more your ph will fluctuate. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | hello there guru420, Firstly there may be a good reason why its rising so much, what kind of media are the plants growing in ? Secondly you need some Phosphoric Acid to make the solution more acidic, normally the PH should rise slightly in a day depending on several factors, the heat of the solution, the plant transpiritic rate and the rate of growth. ![]() | Oz....growing in expanded clay, this condition is still a problem, could it be caused by an infection of some sort, possibly from the jiffy peat from where she was grown and sexed (although i did wash her root system off very well)?

![]() | Oz... Sometimes upwards of .5 a day...plant looks like the pH is way high, yellowing of the mid and lower leaves, leaves drying to a crisp, that kind of stuff. When I transplanted I was sure to get as much of the peat off as I could. But in some places there was a touch of dirt that I couldn't rinse off and didn't feel comfortable to start shoving in pipe cleaners, so there was a very small amount of the old growing medium in there. I change my water every 7-14 days. I have grown for a couple of years, but this is the first grow rock setup that I have experimented with. I am kind of conserned with this plant she is our next momma, and I hate putting her through this kind of stress. thanks guru icq# 64148814

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | gudday agin guru, Okay, a few more qustions...how often do you water, what is the EC strength, heat and humidity in the growroom? What kind of meter are you using to measure the PH ? It may be a case of high EC and heat giving you the probs, the PH rise is quite normal inmany respects. Its often the case that when the plants get that hard, sick look they go dormant for a while, it can be a real pain to kick them back, but it can be done once the prob is targetted. ![]() | oz, the power grower is always running, acts like a drip system http://www.generalhydroponics.com/in.../powrgrwr.html if you would like to see exactly what I'm working with. EC+/- 1200 85 degrees f. using a Sharp pH microprocessor which is calibrated at 7.0 once or twice a week. 50% humidity most of the larger fan leaves were removed just after the transplant. the rest have at this point fallen off, I am basicaly working with a stem about 2.5 feet tall, with well developed leaves tightly huddled to the stem. and from the mid section down there mostly yellow.

![]() | I know you have to soak rockwool in 5.5 - 5.8 ph sol. for 24-48 hrs to neutralize it's ph. Skipping this step results in a constant ph battle. Could your medium be experiencing the same thing? Where the ph of the actual medium is out of spec, constantly changing the sol.'s ph? LATER
