Has there ever been a poll or thread for additives that seem to work best with or cause problems with particular nutrients? In other words I use and will be using General Hydroponic 3 Part Flora Series. I say will be using because some how I ended up with 6 gallons. Anyway I have tried different additives and read as many posts as I can regarding additives. But then I thought maybe there are additives that others have tried only with the GH 3 Part Flora and had success or disaster with. I have tried so far, Kool Bloom, Silicone, Mg, Ph up and down, Big Bloom, Humic Acid, Fulvic Acid, H2O2, B9, Sweet, maybe some I forgot, but as you can see that's everything....I'm looking more for the fertilizer type additives and not the solution to a problem or plant nursery type additives. So if you use GH 3 Part...what additives have you used and how did it work out? Details would be good. ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Currently I am using the 3 part GH Flora Series. I am only using Micro and Bloom however (1:2 Micro:Bloom - Lucas). I am using Silicone (5ml per gal) and Epsom Salts (1/2 tsp or 2.5ml) per gallon. It has been 2 weeks into flower and I will be Switching to Tiger Bloom for 4 weeks then Kool Bloom (Liquid) for two weeks..both with silicone...and finally a 1 week flush. During Veg I also used 2 drops SuperThrive per gallon but took it out of Flowering regiment. I know this is a pretty standard nute schedule and you were looking for new ideas. Sorry bud, I am not ready to make my own ideas yet. One thing I use to foliar feed clones that I have had good success with is Root Juice. (Basically kelp and humic acid) Not to thread hijack but seeing as you are a top dog round these parts.... ...is Magnesium needed as much during flowering as veg? To my knowledge it has greatly to do with the N uptake which I am slowly ramping down during flowering. Peace out

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | When I used the 3part, I had some calcium deficiencies, but I think it might have been pH releated. Anyway, cal-mag is a common addition to the 3part series. To USlvlC, I dont add mg unless I see a deficiency. That pretty much goes for most micro nutes. KISS IMO, the plants are great at what do, they dont need too much help.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I use the GH 3 part series. Almost always I add Cal-Mag Plus or MagiCal, if not I get mg deficiencies - but I've mainly grown WW who is a mg hog. I also add Pro-Tekt (liquid silicon) which throws the pH up, so I add the GH pH down - don't remember which acid that is. I use GH Diamond Nectar (fulvic acid) through the 2nd week of flower, then I use Bontanicare's Sweet - which has no nutrient value - just seems to make the final product taste better. You can see all the ratios I'm currently using in the "Nutrient Calculator" sheets in my journals. Edit: Here is a GH Nute Chart. These mixes run hot for my plants, but they love the ratios of nutes.

![]() | When I plant my rooted clones into Hugos, I generally water them in with rhizotonic per the bottle's directions. I also add B'Cuzz growth stimulator all during vegging. In flowering I usually add silica with no discernable difference as well as SM-90, which seems to give me great root hairs but it does things to plants such as make them stretch or stunt them depending on when it's added. I also use the GH Floraliscious Bloom with great success. Recently I've been adding BushMaster the last week of flowering, during flush, which is not what you're supposed to do. I want to say that things get a little darker and there are more crystals, but I don't have control to compare it to.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I haven't added to this thread because I don't use the grow part of the three part nutrient mix. I only use micro and bloom. But I wanted to comment on the mixing of nutrients. jamesgang does things differently than I do. The additives I use are silicone and cal-mag. After some experimenting I decided I need to use 1 tablespoon of silicone in 4.5 gallons of reverse osmosis water. Now for the difference. I add the silicone first, then the micro, followed by bloom and cal-mag. I don't pH adjust at all. This gives me readings of 5.7 and 1330 which is where I start my plants. Part of the way I decided how much silicone to add was based on the ending pH. Just to let you know there are other ways to do things. jamesgang has good, consistant results so it would probably be better to go with his way. I just don't like having to use the pH adjusters. All the best, Lollie
