Unhappy Small question...Small answer?

I was just curious if its possible to grow other plants in a hydro setup as well as MJ. I was thinking of having tomatoes growing beside my weed for a little prtection for anyone that takes a quick glance. I would use the nutes and all perfect for MJ but would the other plants affect the growth of MJ?

you could get some of those balls you hang on your christmas tree, get red ones and hang them all over your plants, you would never know the difference

Gudday there,
The tomato plant would definatley take nutients out of te solution so they wouldnt be available for the marijuana plant, tomato plants also have a tendency to bring in the bugs as the turpene levels they excrete can get real high. Growing them in a pot next to the system is the best way to go, they will grow like wildfire also, giving you a harvest of both fat tomatos and fat buds

mariculturalist,
di-terpenes are a chemical class of....terpenes, they a volatile molecules that carry oil based smells, Im no a chemist so I cant tell you exactly how they work, Ill look it up in my big book of chemistry. My main point is that due to their volatility they will diffuse when they are disturbed.

spelled terpene

Here it is in the dictionary. terpene .http://www.dictionary.com/cgi-bin/dict.pl?term=terpene
I hope someone can show me a link pretty soon that shows two things. One would be wether or not terpene atracts bugs, and if so, what kind of bugs terpene atracts. The other thing would be wether or not tomatoes produce more terpine than marijuana plants. I can find nothing substantial after a whole day of surfing.
