how long should my pump stay on then how long of a pause for bucket sprayer?? how dose light entering the res(not direct just leaks) affect the res? thats it i hope some one knows.. thanks | ||

 | Usually about 10-15 minutes 3 times a day for your watering if you have a drip system...or a flood system... Light entering the reservoir can lead to the production of algae, which is not good. The light leaks might not do much, but even a little bit can throw off your pH and PPM...just tape the leaks up. Peace.

| Aeroponic systems can run 24/0 or, to save on the pump heating up the water; 4 minutes off, 1 minute on works quite well also. algae growth can happen if you have too many light leaks into your reservoir... A few minor leaks usually is no big deal ...moved to hydroponics

| To check for light leaks, place a flashlight in your bucket/reservoir and turn out the lights in the room. Use thick paint or aluminum tape to seal light leaks. | ||
