Got a question for you guys. Air stones

I have three 50 gal rubbermaid tubs that I am holding 40 gal (it is now 25 gal. a tub. I messed up my math.) of water in each tub.

I am using two 24'' air-stones per tub. That is six 24'' air-stones total.

so........ what would be needed to pump a whole lot or air into these tubs.

How big a compressor. How many liters a min. That kind of thing.

I was told 60 liters a min. was good. I am going to buy a compressor that is 80 liters of air a min. just to make sure. But on second thought I might stay with the 60 liters.

But what do you gents think of this?

Hey Im sorry im high. this was supposed to be in the hydro section. Could one of the admins put this there. Thanks

I plan to keep the ph and nutes even in all tubs by pumping water from one tub to another. I really do not want to measure out nutes for three different tubs.

no everyone switched to hempy

I've never used flexible airstones lately I dont even use regular airstones anymore, just weight the end of the air-hose down and let the big bubbles fly!

i don't use dwc (yet) but i would think the flexible ones are more...flexible in how you can apply them (like getting air directly below the roots) or something?
your call.

hey big , all i have to say is check out ALITA Industries site and you'll find a bunch of powerful linear air-pumps to fit ANY need.....they also have a great selection of aeration devices such as air diffusers (silicone hoses, membranes,Polyethylene Porous Air Silencers,Polyethylene (HDPE) Porous Tubes,Sintered Air Diffuser Stones ........i get all my aeration supplies strictly thru them.....great stuff!!

check em out and good growing man....

***i'm currently running their 200-series that puts out 200lmp.....i run a 16-valve metal manifold/gang valve to spread out all the air to my 16 buckets, plus my 20 gallon cloner, with plenty of lbs of air to tap into should i decide to get more buckets.......

vpur is starting to flower.vpur is starting to flower.vpur is starting to flower.

I found that the old blue air stones work the best cause they are heavy, and that weights down the stone. The Brown blaster air stones need a higher pressure air pump to work right.
The plastic ones dont seem to make the fine bubbles which are adsorption of O2 easier.
I think its important to make sure that the nutrient solution is saturated with O2 the whole way through.
