Hi. Went home today and found my rez temp at 76. I need to chill it. I have a DWC system. I have 18 plants in 3 inch pots. They hand over a 10 gallon rez. I dont have water going and out. I do a rez change once a week. WHat kind is best for me? I need to drop it in and thats that. I have 4 10" air stones in my rez. Any help would be awsome.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | nah, and besides, if you are buying a chiller, you wont be coming out of it cheap. the inlines I hear are the best.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | inlines are much cheaper, more efficient, and easier to locate further away from the growroom which is a must because they crank out a lot of heat... Only advantage to a drop in is they are easier to clean... I always recommend aqua logic chillers as far as the best brand goes. Beware of ebay. Good deals can be found but you get what you pay for. Dont buy used, they can cost more to fix than the actual price of the chiller. With only 8 degrees of drop you might get by without a chiller using one or a combination of the methods in the link @ the bottom of my signature.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | aint that the truth on repair parts!!!! i had a current usa mini prime chiller. the 1/10th hp. The condenser fan died {which is fairly common, about 20% failure rate} Current WILL NOT sell to the public. You have to go through a reseller to get the part, condenser fan cost me 39.00 plus shipping not terrible. but the inlit fitting was 20 bucks!!!! for a little plastic hose fitting.... sheesh. and of course, no one stocks repair parts. so it takes you at least 2-3 weeks to receive the chiller part. i dont know how the other companies are for customer support. BUT STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM CURRENT/PRIME chillers!!!! 3 weeks with warm water is NOT acceptable. considering this is a company that provides nothing less than LIFE to lesser organisms i find there repair parts policy to be absurd.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hey dudes! Just an update. I put 3 x 500 ml water bottles in every 4 hours and it brings the rez temp down about 4f. I was sitting at 70-72 all day. Its effective, but very annoying. Since I am vegging and my lights are on 24 hours a day ( 2 x 430 HPS are on 830 am - 830 am and a 200 watt CFL is on from 830pm - 830 am) I decided that when I do flower, I will have the lights on during the night (830pm - 830am). Its the coolest part of the day and im sure it will help. Even 3f would be huge. Secondly, I will extend my portable A/C closer to the box itself. Because the venting duct on the A/C is so short it stays right beside the window it is blowing the hot air out of. I will cut the hose and add axtra piece, bringing it about 5 feet from the grow box rather than 20 feet away. I assume that this will work very well. I am going to take pictures of the whole get up for you dude tonight! ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | This makes things so much easier. YouTube - BCNL See, I cant really put a chiller in this thing. I dont have water constantly running from an external reservoir. I have a rezevoir that sits underneath. I cant do a drop in cause I will have to drill a hole in the macine to run the coil. This sucks. ![]() BUT temp with water bottles were 66 today. And yes, the grow box is in the same room I sleep in.
