Frequency if watering?
permalink

Hey Guys,

My babies are just under three weeks old. I am feeding the 1/4 strength nutes 0nce per day for 15 min. I'[m wondering when I increase the frequency to 2-3 timer per day?

Thoughts?

If you are doing hydro yes, you need to up the frequency for sure. That is way too.

What hydro style are you using?

What type of timer?

You may want to invest in an adjustable recycling timer

Check out some of these:

I use a 1 minute on, 3 minutes off timer

Yea you'll need to let us know what hydro method you are using. If you're doing something like ebb & flow I believe you need to feed (flood) them 2 to 4 times a day from the start.

i gotta assume this is ebb n flow.

your water cycle should stay pretty much constant. 2-3 times a day while the lights are on, maybe once at night. you just want to make sure the roots never totally dry out.

instead of trying to control there feeding through waterings, you should keep the watering more consistant and adjust the strength of the nutrient solution to match the plants requirements.

constant exposure to nutrients oxygen and water are what make hydroponics worth while.

Sorry for any confusion.. I have the plants in a drip system, growing in rockwool. I plant to grow them out, clone, and then moce to an ebb n flow for flowering.

I've increased the frequency to about 4/day, 15 min/cycle. They seem to be doing fine.
