yep, you can just put the cube in whatever you want. soil even. dont need to take it out of the cube for any reason. id start off low, diluted nutes for at least a couple weeks. you can raise it up a bit, after that. maybe 1/2 strength, for another couple weeks, then finally up to full strength by the 4th week or so depending on how they are responding by then.

Thanks man. Another thing about watering. I am going to be using the DWC system in a 10 gallon tote. I heard that I can just have the water level about 1/4" above net pots? Is this sufficient enough to water the plant? Or do I have to hand water it at the rockwool cube? Sorry so many questions just wanna get it right. Also I am going to be purchasing the General Hydroponics Flora Series 3 part {micro grow bloom} from here: General Hydroponics 3 Part FloraSeries Special

Do I add the micro nutes first then the grow, and finally the bloom right? At which point do I actually start adding the nutrients to my water? Im sorry I just have a ton of unanswered questions that I really need to know. Like I got my whole setup all finished and everything, I am just waiting on seeds, and nutrients. Do I need to change the water out in my tote and if so how often? Any additional info that you guys think I need to know please inform me. Thanks for taking time to read this.

P.S. I drew a rough sketch of what my setup basically is. Lemme know if its okay. Thanks

i dont know much abt dwc tbh. so i cant help you much there. but i do know that you should always mix micro nutes first, then whatever you want after.

When mixing nutes, always mix the micro first as bobbooty said. As I understand it, this prevents certain nutes from falling out of precipitation.

Start weak nutes when your plants ask for them by turning light green.

Yea sorry about that I just wanna get going on this very soon and I still have unanswered questions. Like I do not know the schedule I am supposed to follow when it comes to feeding the plants. Or how often to feed? and when to change the water in my tote, if at all? Also when my plant is a seedling in the rockwool cube, how often should I water it or will the DWC system be sufficient enough? Anyone reading this please help me with all these questions if you can. Thanks.

I have never grown dwc, but common sense says you have to handwater them until the roots are long enough to get nutes. Then feeding is constant as your plants drink up thenute solution they are in.

I grow ebb & flow and change the reservoirs once every 7 to 10 days.

As for nutes, I use the GH Grow, Micro & Bloom.

Veg full strength - 3 tsp Grow, 2 tsp Micro, 1tsp Bloom
Transition - 3-3-3
Flowering- 1-2-3

Start seedlings at 1/4 strength and work your way up as the plants will tolerate it.
