Well I thought about like taking clones every week, and that way I always have fresh bud every week...so if I did this, I'd have to take the plants out briefly and clean and put them back into the extended resevoir I'm using for my hempies.

you could probably get away with cleaning your gear once every 8 weeks. but i do same as cheese, i clean usually after every harvest, or clone cycle in the cloner.

tray tops, resevoirs, medium (hydroton), and the ezcloner are the things i clean on a regular basis. (roughly every 8 weeks) i take the tray tops outside, and spray them down with garden hose with sprayer attachment, and scrub the water channels with an old toothbrush. i am planning on getting a pressure sprayer for this part of the cleaning process, it would be much easier. i soak the medium in a high concentration of clearex in hot water for a few hours, then i rinse that in plain water and let dry. the ezcloner i clean according to their instructions. only difference is i soak and scrub the neoprene rings with a sponge in a mix of bleach water every cycle as well, to keep them clean. rinse the neoprene and its good to go.

mother plants, in baby bloomer tray, i try to clean once a month. i take the mothers out, clean the trays they are in, as described above, then give them fresh nuted water, and good to go. sometimes i let this go, 8 wks as well.

So other than bleach in aerocloners and Clearex on hydroton, you clean only with water? What about fill and drain hoses?

the fill hoses i haven't checked recently and probably could use cleaning, the drain hose i just remove and clean with the old toothbrush as best i can, with plain water. the drain hose are actually short enough that i can reach the middle from both ends with the toothbrush. they are clear, so that helps me get them relatively clean.

Could black fill and drain hoses which have been in constant use for years and never cleaned cause a problem?
