I have been using a DWC/bubble cloner for a min now. I was running 100% success rate, without humidity dome. I switched to a much smaller air pump, and lost 6 of 6 on my last round.

Anyone else have an issue like this? My suspicion is that the pump just cannot agitate the water enough. I went from a GH dual diaphragm to a 5gal aquarium pump. My cloner is a shoebox style, only holds about a gal of water so I figured the 5gal would be plenty. The GH pump was overkill, but it worked, essentially like a aerocloner, with violent agitation.

I am looking for someone to confirm my suspicions or set me straight if I'm way off base.

yes, it really needs the violent agitation to create the bubbles and air mixture that is optimal for growth. question tho, why did you decide to downgrade after all that?

I expanded the flowering room, and wanted to avoid buying another $70 pump... thought I could get away with a smaller one for the clones... I didn't expect it to be so wimpy
