I need to know how long I can have my air pumps off... The max before I start to have irreparable damage. Would adding h2o2 give me more time?

![]() ![]() ![]() | All DWC... I have two 3.5gal bubble buckets and a tote style that is like 15gal. The buckets share a GH dual diaphragm, and the tote has it's own. No res, they are each self-contained. It's funny you were the first to reply... I was reading your journal while I was waiting for a response ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 8-16 hours would be fine without h2o2. if your using h2o2 you could extend that to a couple days ... I would avoid using it if possible though. h2o2 disipates off quickly, within hours, depending on the system, how much bacteria etc. i've tested my reservoir within a couple hours of adding h2o2 it was gone

... to reconnect my airlines (to the 5 gallon DWC's) a couple times before ![]() And I only go back every two days to water ... so 24-48 hours is ok ... providing your res temps are within the recommended range. One time ... during the 100* heat of summer (warm reservoir season for me) ... I forgot to hook up one of the airlines ... within my 48 hour absence most of the roots went soft and brown in the neglected res. It took a week's worth of daily H2O2 maintenance to bring that lady back up to speed ... and she never fully recovered ... in the end, she produced less then her neighbors. Maybe use a timer to turn the pumps on (even just for an hour or three each day) when everyone is asleep? Better safe than sorry Maven
