hey everybody
i hope everyone is doing well on the adventures. I need some help when running a wick system do u run the wicks from the bottom of the resovoir to the top of the soil or do u just run the wick from the bottom of the resovoir through the bottom of the container and along the bottom of it. Ive understood and read that u run the wick to the top of the soil and ive seen pics of it with the wick running along the bottom of the container not even going through the medium/soil. i hope someone will understand my dilllema and replies soon. also i was wondering what would be the best medium to use
thanx alot

You run the wick from the res up thru the bottom of the pot and I coiled it around the inside bottom of the pot. When you start the wick make sure you top water until the water is coming thru or the wick will not work.

What I meant was water the pot that you are introducing to the wick system throughly until you see water running from the wick and then place it into the reservoir. In the past I used vermiculite to cover the wick in the bottom of the pot which is where the bottom of your plant will rest. Then fill the rest with perlite soil mix and your one your way.Good luck
