| My Hum Blest apol- for the cross post. However, as my question deals with a hydro-grow, I thought, "maybe someone cares about me in hydroponics" Having a problem that seems to be isolated to my fan leaves. Leaves are browning at the edges and then take on a mottled(brown, yellow, green) appearance as they become more chlorotic, and finally take on a consistent yellow of necrotic tissue. You can see a rather detailed description of my first(present) grow in the personal diaries board under Hydroponic and Organic. Otherwise the plants look quite healthy and are growing vigorously. I've done some reading, but I'm not entirely clear what these symptoms indicate. I have been operating under relatively low humidity until just recently(about 30%) now about 50% due to addition of humidifyers. and high heat(85 to 90) pH is stable at about 6.3 to 6.5 I am using Fox Farm "Grow Big" (3-2-6) hydroponic plant food at 3tsp per gallon of distilled water. Finally, my plants grow in Emily's Garden under a 1000 W MH. The older the fan leaves are, the more profound the symptoms. If anyone knows of a site that has pictures of various nute, light, temp, humidity, root problems and their causes, I would love to further educate myself. Johny *UPDATE* Plants were looking like they wanted to wilt; leaves were not extended out to the light and were kind of saggy (sorry for the technical jargon). Decided I would flush my system, and change nutrients. Discovered that pH was also off (around 10). Drained nutrient solution, and flushed with a gallon of pH corrected water, then refilled system with same. Plants began perking up within 36 hours (18/6). Drained and refilled with Hydrofarm's "Hydroponic Nutrient 7-7-7. Watching....Waiting...... J | ||
