I have been a long time soil grower but am getting into hydroponics very much lately. I was wondering which type of set up/system is better for growing small plants in small spaces, active or passive, drip or ebb&flow?

Which one is cheaper to setup and maintain for a few years? I have a very limited budget right now .

I would recomend a small ebb&flow table just for the convience of low maintainence. Small e&f systems are relatively cheap. If you are really tight on cash you can build your own out of plastic storage containers. I use geolite(gro-rox) in my system.It is cheaper than rockwool and can be reused easily. A little sanitizer soaking and your good to go... Good luck! -Sketchy
