| I'm growing for the first time using hydroponics. I'm using the reservoir method described on Marijuana.com. I have a few questions being a first time grower. First I'll describe my setup. I am using plastic square 1 qt containers filled with a vermiculite\perlite mixture. Holes are drilled in the bottom and they are in a tray of hydro-grow solution. I germinated the plants around 15 days ago and now they are looking like healthy 2 inch plants. I'm using flourescent lighting through flowering. Now for the questions. 1. Will the 1 qt containers be big enough to grow the plants to maturity? I plan on growing them 1 1/2- 2ft tall before flowering. 2. Is the verm/perlite growing medium dense enough to support a 2ft plant? 3. The plants have been in a constant reservoir of hydro-grow solution. I recently read that you should let the growing medium dry out. Should I let the reservoir dry out? How long do I want it dry before I add more solution to the reservoir? Can I keep it in a constant solution and what will happen if I do? Is root rot something I should worry about? 4. I'm growing using a closet in my garage and the temperature can get to 100 degrees in the afternoon. Is this something I need to worry about? So far, they seem to be doing well even with the high 90 degree temps. Thanx in advance for any responses. Kemo | ||
