![]() | CottonMouth, I am a new hydro self-teacher and I've read numerous places that the PH ought to be as low as 5.5 to 6.0; are there any experiences Hyrdro growers that would argue with this? doob | ||

| A friend of mine has just started a new hydro setup and wants to know a few things. But first, here's some background: Light cycle: 6am - 9pm w/270W HPS (SonAgro) Growing area: 2.5'x2.5' # of plants: 15 initially, removing males to end up with about 7 females. Hydro system: ebb&flow 7Gal, rockwool for germination then moved to geolite (grow rocks) Flood cycles: 15 minute flood @ three hour intervals even in dark light cycle (8 total floods/24h) --- Is that too many flood cycles? Is a 15 minute flood long enough? What is the optimum nutrient concentration (I hear 800-1000ppm)? Best pH is 6-6.3, right? How often should the water be changed?
