buckets tubes n tables
permalink

hi everyone..well first off i use only water systems i will if anyone wants to know give u my 20 years experience in water sytems n how to build them for a third of what you would buy one for i am canadian and that means our laws are not as strict as american law can be ...
first off i have used buckets my advice is dont use them.they leak and have to many joints and hoses exposed to light heat not to mention one feeder line goes off and you have a empty system and a floor of water. this can be really bad if you are in when the lights first go one then knock a line out of its container and leave.
i lost a whole cristmas crop doing that, when i came home later i smelled hay and i knew i had burnt them...all..... dead...sniff
anyways it was lucky i had a 4 by 8 water table with 1 footers sitting there for in case of so the sytem while a month behind still came off but thats when i went back to tubes.. ...with tubes i recommend a 10 in diamiter to 12 in most sewer pipe comes that size if your sneaky enough i bet theres lots lying on streets but to go and buy it most places will sell it to you for 4 tubes each one 7 ft with encaps..the nice thing about the tubes made for sewer is there thick and they join together sdo you can make them to whatever size you want n with elbows u can make some bends as well..anyways the cost for the tubes was 700 canadian the most cost came with the endcaps of all things . my recomendation is to go buy the plastic culverts they make for driveways over ditchs there black with it looks like rings around the whole lenght. then for endcaps use pail lids they fit 12 in the same pails u can buy at any revy or home depot make sure they have no breahing vents on the sides oof the lid's they should be smpoth except fotr 1 tab you can cut off with a exacto knife,go to a pet store and look for big tubes of fishtank silicone (non toxic to all life forms) .wheninstalling the lid make sure u take 2 screws and for the upper sides of the sewer or culvert and secure the lid to the end of the tube looking from the top end just about a 3rd down on each side silicon the whole lid in place and test with water to make sure u have no leaks (in my case i cut the holes n the lid where i wanted the drains this insures you have no extra stress to the silicone.because the lids r while you should cover them at the same time after u test to make sure its not leakin you can take the white poly u can get any grow store and cut a circle out using a lid u have handy and silicone the plasitc to the end of the pipe..the next step is to make braces for your tubes and cut your holes on the top for your baskkets depending on room size and basket size this will be up to you..me i have 2, seven foot pipes with 4 five inch baskets in a room about 8 ft by 8 ft.under 2 1000 watts 1 sodum 1 hp..the advantage to tubes r not as many loose parts outside of the tube (buckets is a drain per a feeder line per and a bubbler per thats a lot) with the tube the feeder hose is sent in the top of the lid where u cut a small hole for it to sit inside in the cool dark tube instead of out with the light beating on the food making it hot from there u can have your spigots for your feeder line marked to your hole put feeder line on the spigot and run to little hole drilled at a top and curve foodline into basket i did mine at an angle coming out then used a 7 11 store red straw with the bendable tip and cut and fit it over so i could direct the flow to whever i wanted this is good and cheap to do also i dont get splashes or feedline poping up and not out of the basket onto your floor .i got a bubbler pump and used the same feeder line to make myself a line of bubblers 4 in each tube under each basket to ensure they were getting enough oxegen (water will be about 4 inchs deep depending on your resivour size (resivour should be lower then tubes) all in all there r no exposed parts except for the drains on the front and the feeder hose from the resivour to tube ..you can run your feeder hose though the fromtof the first tube out the back to a elbow to the next tube to a elbow and run it right back out of the second tube to your resviour with a flow valve to increase flow or decrease flow

all in all you have few hoses and no leaks .i use the silicone to seal all the hoses and drains as well i find the big drains work the best ..u dont want the lectite (lava pebbels) to clog a drain and u get better flow..
well thats all i can typpe for now if u want clarification just post i guess also whoever wants i will give u my insight on water tables i think there the new thing an i have some good results from a 5 by 10 table flood n drain with 2 lights 50 babys 45 days from start to finish end result is over 2 allways. so easy so mess ffree
and clipping is done in a hour ... so ask me n maybe i will get off my lazy ass and write the formula. sorry for the bad spelling but i saw no spell check and i type fast because im so damm busy
