6.5 is a good medium for pH. Some nutes like it better around 7 (N, P, K, Sulfur, Calcium, Megnesium, Molybendium) and others around 6 (Iron, Manganese, Boron, Copper, Zinc), but 6.5 will do fairly well with all nutes.

Thanks War, I am dying to get this going I have about a week till my nutes and rockwool, from growking get here. I want to get the water circulating and balanced for awhile. I have 2 drywall buckets connected with air filters, water pumps, ect. I am going to take a pic of it if it works. I based it off of the bubbling bucket but there are 2 buckets. Thanks for the input,

It's variable from the high 5 to low 6pH.

Also, fish in nature live in pH anywhere from below 5 to above 9. Some are more adaptable then others. The popular species from the african rift lakes which give hobbyists many favorites is in the 8.5 - 9.2 pH range.

Danger you beat me to it. I had St0neys chart all ready to attach, then I scroll down Hey its already there

Hydro needs a significantly lower pH than soil. Another thing to keep in mind with those rockwool cubes is they need to be pre-soaked in 5.5 pH'ed water overnight because they have a tenancy to be alkaline.

I usually keep my vegging plants in the 5.5 - 5.8 range, and flowering plants in the 5.9 - 6.2 range...
