![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | 3 plants, you could probably go anywhere between 10-31 gallons or so.. Of course, the more the better. The more water, the more stable the ph stays, and the easier it is to keep your nutes balanced. It is perfectly possible to transplant each to their own 5 gallon container as well, but would be more of a pain taking care of 3 resevoirs rather than 1. But there are also advantages, if you are growing from seed, and if they are different strains, having their own buckets would be an advantage, different plants react to different things, 1 might need more of less of a certain nute, etc etc. I ran into this problem in my 4 plant Aeroponic setup. 4 different strains in 1 resevoir isn't fun. Hope this helps some bro. Good luck

![]() | i have found that growing multiple plants in a dwc can have some problems , especially if they are different strains. diff. strains have doifferent needs and it is hard to address the problems of just the one plant. different strains finish at different times , so flushing can be a hassle. if you have one sick plant in a multiple plant res. then all the plants in there may end up with the problem. bigger res is better than small, but i have been growing in 5 gal buckets and dont have any problems from the res size. tansferring the plants to a new res after they have vegged is a big shock to the girls and that is not a good thing. http://thegardenguy.tripod.com/omma/ check out the bubbler bucket link ![]()

...One per 5 gallon bucket. Easier to diagnos and contain problems. A lot of work though. But , thats me... JG

![]() | I spent the afternoon making bubbler buckets today. I had started a nice 31 gallon bubbler with 6 baskets. It looks great, but all the roots get knotted together. So be ready to lift up the whole lid, plants and all every time you need to change water. Also route your tubing under the lid somehow, so you don't have to lift out the stones and everything. I think it would have worked nice, but 30 gallons is too big. I decided it would be less work in the future to just transplant them into individual 5 gallon bucket bubblers. Just another $.02 to add to the pot. ![]() | ||
