I have 6 plants growing in 5 gallon buckets under a 1000W HID lamp, in a continuous drip system. I am about a week from inducing flowering; each morning I need to replace 10 - 12 litres of water and the pH is down from 6.0 to 5.4 or less. Any idea why I am getting such a rapid pH change? The ppm of my nutrient solution is usually around 740. Airedog

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Hi Airedog, sounds like the res is a bit small for the size of the plants/system what szie you got? and how big are the plants?10L per day seems alot for 6 plants, not if they're bigguns tho what is the humidity like? if you need to run a low ppm maybe the humidity is a bit too low too![]() San ![]()

The reservoir is filled with 100 litres and has a top. I have included a picture to show you plant size. Humidity levels are about where they should be and the clones were put in on August 6th at about 6 inches high. PPM is the result of following the Advanced Nutrients instructions with tap water running at 7.0 pH. Airedog

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Well mate, they look real healthy so just keep doing what you're doing![]() rereading your first post, and my subsiquent answer, I realise now I was infact talking out my ass let me explain.... everyones just gonna love watching the san man's brain fart..... I love the art of cultivation so much, it realy annoys me when I can't nail a plant issue. So much so, that after reading thousands of peoples plant problems, I sometimes blurt my whole train of thought out, trying to identify it, trying to nail the problem. Often, growers are so concerned by their plants issue, they forget to follow fourm etiquete, and fail to include even basic growroom statistics, the lack of plant information often means advice becomes sort of a "best guess" scenareo, hence, the train of thought blurt. Your concern for your plants came over in your post, you thought there may be a problem, so I thought there may be a problem. (there usually is ) Realistically, the pH swing you are experiancing is completely normal IMHO The higher than average water usage pointed to low RH, but obviously, large plants will transpire a lot of moisture, it's normal. I would have expected slightly bigger plants with 5 weeks ish veg time from clones, seems an awful long time in veg too, but they look great I can't wait to see the end of flowering, you've got to post some pics, they'll be monsters for sure San ![]()

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks for the feedback, I'm a total newbie and this is my first grow. I kind of got forced into it as my wife is being treated for Hep C and the interferon is making her very ill; we have to try and stop her vomiting as well as restore her appetite. Making do with 'street bought pot' for the time being. The clones are a strain of Shishkaberry. Airedog
