grrr....help pls...nute burn?
permalink

Its been 3 weeks now, some plants are taller than others, 1 plant is 1 week older than the rest, all have a decent root system for being 3 weeks old. tap roots have roots growing off them and some are 5"+ in the res already. the oldest plant had its cotylodons start turning yellow and the leave4s began to turn yellow-ish shortly after. I thought it might be deprived of nutes as its only been in tap water untill a few days ago...i bought futuregardens system as it was the cheapest option i found and heard it wasnt too bad. I added 1/4 of the reccomended seedling dosage which ended up being 65 ppm.

now 3 days later, the oldest plant is fully yellow and showing no signs of growth, and the one next to it has the tips of the first leaves (not cotylodons) turning bright yellow...

should i flush the res with distilled water, and give it a week to straighten out...

also my pH is up around 6.5-7ish can i use the same pH down as is used for fishtanks as i already have some of that?

TIA

Your ph is to high. You need to get it down to the 5.5-6.1 range. I'm not sure on the fish tank ph stuff. Personally I would get some that are made for hydroponics.

Sounds to me like you might need to add nutes. 65ppm sounds a little low for 3-4week plants. But you need to get the PH thing strait first to be 100% sure.

Good Luck................................Roller
