quartersack is beginning to sprout.
roots growing through bottom of pots

i use big clay pebbles in an ebb and flow system. I water 6 times a day. The plants are about 8 inches tall. roots are growing through the bottom of the pots. is this a bad thing? if so, how can i do things from here on out?

It's no problem providing the roots are covered from the light.

thanks!! heres what i did.... took some small rubbermaid containers, cut holes in the bottom so water could get through, and placed the pots in them. then i just put clay stones in to cover the roots.

Sounds fine to me if the holes are large enough....the more root the better
