Anyone own a Hanna?

I have a Hanna three in one continuous tester and cant seem to be able to calibrate it. I went to the hydro store and they said they had no idea how it was done either. I follow the instructions and it doesnt seem to want to work. Anyone out there know where I could be going wrong?

do you have two different pH calibration solutions? (usually 7.0 and 4.0)

do you have two different TDS calibrations? (usually 1000ppm and 800 or 600ppm)

Tds is calibrated automatically.

Ph need calibrating with appropriate solutions, like skitz said of 4.01 & 7.01/10.01

Check out the datasheet.

Ya it came with ph 7.01 and conductivity solution. I used the two when told to on the instructions and went through it several times with the aid of two friends seperately to see if they could figure it out to ensure Im not an idiot. When I got to the point where it says "put the ph pen in the ph solution. It should automatically verify the ph". It did not. It just wouldnt callibrate and the instructions provide no problem solving for this problem. Do you suppose my meter could be busted?

Sounds to me like your electrode is dirty. You need to check to see if it looks clean or scummy. You need a 2-part cleaning solution (and a toothbrush if it's real bad)for cleaning.

there should be a little screw to adjust the pH reading to 7.1...or I had a prob once that ended up being the batteries, not saying this is your problem, but could be.

I own a Hanna 98129 and have had similar problems calibrating ppm. Here's a thread where some help was found.

Hope that helps a little...

I have a hanna ph pen...

... It`s sitting gathering dust in my nutrient cabinit. Can you spell J-U-N-K? Spend the money buy a combo meter made by milwaukee or another name brand. My cheap hanna pen nearly cost me my plants. Not accurate...
