GH Flora Nutes Schedule

When do plants in Hydro go on the vegative feed schedule? I am using GH Flora Series nutes and I wanted to know when to give the plants the 3-2-1, rather than the 1-1-1. And when do plants officially go into the vegative growth stage?

Hi noreason

"Official" vegetative growth begins when the plant starts putting out vegetative growth, i.e., true leaves.

You can start a low-dose veg formula about a week after the first set of true leaves emerge.

BTW, 3-2-1 (grow-micro-bloom) isn't one of the recommended ratios in the GH Flora Feeding Schedule

I too plan on using the GH products. Are the "supplements" important that they show on their chart or the "nutrients" all that are necessary?

Also, is the strenght on the chart correct/ per gallon if my plants are "new", an inch or 2 tall?

Thanks

I'm starting my sprouts at 1/4 tsp per gallon of each solution (Grow, Bloom, Micro). I'll up it by 25% with each res change (weekly) and by the time they're at full strength they're in full veg.

Grow, Micro, and Bloom, and pH adjusters are all that are necessary. Some people even do without Grow. The supplements may produce better results, but if it's your first run, I'd skip them. Foliar application of Diamond Nectar is probably the most helpful. A silicon supplement is pretty beneficial, but personally wouldn't use GH Pyrosol for that. I use Dyna-Grow Protekt, it's a liquid.

The starting strengths and ratios can work pretty well, but you should use your EC or TDS meter to determine the nutrient strength the plants want.

1/2tsp Micro----1/2tsp Grow------1/4tsp Bloom....

my resevoir is 2gallons, im using the HydroFarm (see my pic below)..

i guess i will give it <---1tsp Micro, 1tsp Grow, 1/4tsp Bloom---> in a few days when i flush it?.....

What do u think?...

I donnt know man but if i was you i would just give it that same dose more often rather than a bigger dose at once. That way if it seems kinda upset you can just go back to youre regular schedule without too much harm done.
