![]() | hello all! i´m running an aeroflo with some sensi star in it. The highest EC i could run was 0,75 and i´ve burned them a little with this level. i use AN products first (and last) time. Never have had any problems - only this time i´m using AN! That sucks!! ok...the problem... The leaves are now over a week yellowing and dying and my EC is always rising and my PH always falling down. And the hole plants are a little burned. Not much but much enough!! And this with EC 0,75 So i did a reservoir change and mixed new nutes. With EC 0,60; PH 5,9. Today morning i looked at my EC Level and it was 0,62 and the PH fell to 4,85. So i filled of with tab water till EC 0,50. My PH is always falling. Ok, I was to stupid and haven´t given my reservoir enough time to stabilize PH. I have used some PH down after a few hours. So i think thats the reason for the falling PH. So i have made a second reservoir and mixed new nutes again. I won´t use it before it is PH stabilized. But what can i do till this happens? Use PH up and fill with water to hold my EC low - use barricade to do this or pump up all the nutes and run with tab ph balanced water? That´s all shit isn´t it? The plants doesn´t look really good. And i want to do right. What EC levels you guys run in aeroflos? With juicy fruit i was running EC 1,2 and now with sensi star only 0,75. The tab water i use has EC 0,11... Hope for help!! and keep growing!! Thanks

Advanced nutrients: grow, micro, bloom, humic acid, fulvic acid, barricade, overdrive, mother earth tea 6. ppm / EC meter? Yes... 7. EC tab water 0,11 8. EC solution 0,51 9. temperature solution 65° F 10. EC rise / fall? a little bit rising. not much 11. PH rise / fall? YES!!! a lot! from 5,9 to 4,32 in 10 hours 12. kind of lights? HPS 600 13. how close are the lights? 1,3 feet 14. size grow space? 3 square feet 15. temperature / humidity grow space? night 63° F, daily 74° F 16. insect activity? NO! 17. experience growing? four grows without problems, only now with Advanced Nutrients!! OK....hope you can help me and my lovely plants!! They are looking more bad every day!!! They are yellowing and wilting. The EC is not really rising. It stays at 0,51. But the ph is falling constantly! I put in some Barricade to rise the PH to 5,9. And now it´s 4,32 and the plants look bad! The PH in my second reservoir( i mixed yesterday and still don´t use) is not changing. I thought the PH fluctuations might result of not letting stabilize the nutrient solution??? That´s shit! What can i do do rescue my plants??

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You first step needs to be correcting the pH. The yellowing and wilting may signify a different problem, but nothing you try will work until that pH is fixed. When you make your nutrient mix, how do you do it? After you add the nutes, do you add any pH Up or Down? I think that Barricade may be what's dropping your pH so low. It is potassium silicate, which is usually used to lower pH. But on the product label page it says that Barricade can be used to raise pH. Something's not right with that label...as you can see. When you added the Barricade, your pH went from 5.9 to 4.32... So I think your problem lies there. Go to the store and get some pH Up. Make your nutrient mix...using the Barricade if you like. AFTER you have made the nutrient mix, then use the appropriate amount of pH Up to get the pH to the desired level. Good Luck.

![]() | thank you for reply....i´m really agressive! now i´ve refilled my resevoir again. With the nutrient solution i´ve mixed yesterday. The PH is 6,3 now. Do you think i may correct it with some PH- to 5,8??? I´m confused...it´s the third water change this week and always the same. First use some PH- and after a day i´ll have to use lots of PH+... I do my solution this way: - Fill with water - put micro in - grow in - bloom in - the additives in - after this i´m waiting - after waiting i correct the PH with some PH- to 5,8 Normally the PH went up the first two days and then stays correct. (minimal correction needed). But the last two changes it went up - i corrected - it stays there for about 2 or 3 hours and when the light went on it rapidly fall down.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | What does your EC do during this time? Here is a great little cheat sheet courtesy of Old_Phart. Hydro cheat sheet: Ec/PPM goes up, PH goes down=plants require less nutes. Ec/PPM goes down, PH goes up=Plants require more nutes Ec/PPM stable, PH goes up=Equilibrium=Good thang. -OldPhart Let us know your EC right after the res is mixed...and also the EC when the pH drops. Also, try making a res without any of your additives. Try doing it with just the nutes and pH adjustment, then give it to your plants and see how the pH swing goes.
