I have a quick question, Is the actual set up in the attic or is it directly below the attic, I am just not sure from the pictures.

Real nice set up though. Tons of time tied up in that.

It's in the garage. I had a limit of 23" deep so cars could still park inside.

Another quick note: In California we can only have a total of eight ounces of dried herb. I have to do my best to keep it below that without owning a scale. I donate to one other patient (he has a brain tumor) free of charge. It's very tuff for anyone in Southern California to get weed legally. We tried very hard to find a safe legal place to purchase Marijuana. It was almost impossible. I was forced to take matters into my own hands. I felt bad for some of the folks we met that could not get and or afford their prescription. I now spend my time not trying to make a bunch of weed, but to make a small amount of really good bud. All that and I still have never smoked the stuff.
Peace.

Try doing any of that in VA, IT is impossible!! lol...

I hope my math is correct. The room is 46.5 square feet (50" wide, 20" deep, 84" tall).
50 x 20 = 1000 / 144 = 6.94 sqft
50 x 20 x 84 = 84000 / 1728 = 48.61 cubic feet

Now were on track, .
Is all that width used for growing? or does the CO2 tank consume some of that as well?

Keep the pictures coming bro!

Oh my god, I'm such a tard. Yeah my math is all messed up... Geez. Not sure what I was thinking when I wrote that.
It's almost all used for grow. I use a screen to get as much use of the small space as possible. The Co2 is a 20# bottle that just fits. I had to switch to square buckets in order to change out the CO2 bottle in mid cycle. But as the plants grow taller then the bottle, they stuff every inch of that closet. I had problems getting light to the whole grow the first few trys. Training branches and tons of mylar, I was able to just about fix it. I still get some B-grade bud due to lack of light. The CO2 has made the real impact in the grow. I keep the level at above 2000 ppm. This alone has made the bud diameter and density increase about a third. I'm able to yeald more with less light. The CO2 cost me $12 to fill a 20 pound bottle (after buying the bottle). I use two bottles per grow.
After checking my post to a simple question on room size and seeing my answer; no one should listen to a single thing I say. Stay in school. Not joking.
Peace.

That is the magic question. I get that one alot. I have a few reasons, the main one is my employment. I have a great job that allows a fool like me to live well above the standard in which I was raised. They pay and treat me real good. All they ask is, I don't ever do illegal drugs. It is a policy they inforce. No 2nd chance. I know of methods of skirting the pee tests, but would you risk it? I don't drink booz (it makes me want to fight) and I don't need any help being happy with life. I'm ok with it, even though I would like to try it one day. Thanks for asking though.

I was going to ask the same question. I understand people not liking weed, but damn, if i had put so much time and effort, id be at least curious to taste it! LoL

Anyhow, i have to say this has got to be the neatiest, tidiest, most organized growroom i have seen in here! Its so tight, yet everything seems to sit just right in place!

Anyhow, a few questions if u dont mind

First of all i know u mentioned that around 2000ppm of CO2 increased the bud yield at around 1/3. Im just curious at to how do u know? I mean did u judge by looking at it? Or did u weight it? Im asking cuz ive always been told that its better to invest in better lights than in CO2. Also how did it affect ur room temps? have u compared growing with CO2 and without CO2?

Second, i saw the ph&ppm probes. Is there 2 probes for each Bucket? Are the readings shown on the same Ph&PPM meter? Constant readings i take it? Cool stuff! (my Hanna combi takes 2 mins to read ph and i get a cramp almost always! lol)

How much do u think does the cool tube help decrease the room temp? I had serious problems in an attempt to do some aero growing, and a major factor was the lamps putting out too much heat. So now im saving to get some proper airventilated light hoods. Does air ventilating the lights decrease the temp by alot, or is it a marginal change, not worth the extra 100-130$ ?

Sorry for the questions, but u seem like u really know what ure doing!

Good luck on ur grow (like u need it :P )

Here here mate. Better keep it that way, so you dont know what you're missing.
Thats really cool that you wont take that risk. Thats what retirement is for right?

TsouLee -
Ive been able to reduce ambient room temps by 8 degrees while using a kool tube design. A glass plated vented hood has decreased it by even more. Although when using aeroponic it is important that you control the environment not only in the roots but also in the vegetative area, "Above Ground". Basically you need to keep it more humid than with other hydro or soil based grow.
Doing this will allow the plants to 'take' more heat from the lights. You may even be able to move them closer.
