Just some quick background. I'm 40 and don't smoke weed. But I love to grow it. Never sold any of it or used it as trade. My girlfriend has a Doctor's prescription and a real need for this medicine. I hate the thought of giving local pushers more money, so the best answer seems to be... Grow Your Own. Nuff of that. This is my sixth hydro grow. I scaled down my grow because my girlfriend can't smoke the quarter pound I was getting every 60 days. Data::::: Bubble buckets/DWC using Lucas Formula method for nutrients. 400w Metal Halide and HPS in a cool tube. White widow (mom was made two years ago with a single Nirvana white widow seed). This is a shot of my clone room. Mom plants and a few new clones ![]() 6" net-pot for easy transplant. I use an Aeroponic home made clone machine ![]() 1st day in main room. ![]() Everything is in place for new grow. ![]() Light on ![]() I have been real lucky not to have had any leaks in the last six grow cycles. I use no sealer or metal parts. ![]() 400w Grow tube. It does not draw air from the room. The room is a closed system. The plants have a max height of 5'6". I have not had to raise the light to max height yet. I like to keep the plants at about 4'6". ![]() The screen is to keep the plant stable and help train uniform growth. ![]() I use two air pumps that feed three buckets. Each bucket has two airstones. ![]() TDS and PH sensors screw into the side of bucket ![]() Co2 control with tank ![]() Top half of my controls. Co2 valves and thermostat. ![]() One intake for the cooling of the light and the other in case the grow gets above 85* ![]() I use dampers on the grow intake and exhust to maintain high Co2 levels in the room ![]() A 6" blower on a thermostat to cool the room and a 4" blower that cools the light ![]() Muffler and fan ![]() This 4" fan runs the whole time the light is on. ![]() Added a fan to the ballast to keep down the heat in the attic ![]() Have not got around to painting the outside yet. ![]() Was a blast building this small grow. Everything I know (about growing weed) come from forums like this one. I want to thank everyone who posts to gardenscure.com and all the other great sites. I will update this thread with growth photos. Peace.

I have a few questions, if you dont mind me asking.. First and foremost, where is your cooling coming from? The box appears to be in a garage, is the garage conditioned or just the closet? How do you handle the odor? I see the muffler, but it looks like direct discharge? Do you use the CO2 so you dont need cooling? Whats the square footage of flower? Looking forward to the continuation NDS

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I built a muffler on the intake as well. It's kinda hard to get photos of how I did it, so I will have to draw a picture: The light stays cool with a 4" blower that stays on. The air is piped into the light from the outside. ![]() The room will still heat up during the summer months. A 6" blower is hooked to a thromstat. Even on the hottest days, it will only cycle one or two times an hour. *Note* During the winter I have to hook up a thermostat to the light cooling system to heat the room I hope my math is correct. The room is 46.5 square feet (50" wide, 20" deep, 84" tall). Odor is contained in the attic. It's treated with ozone (Uvonair CD-800 ozone generator) then pumped out the top of the attic at 2:00AM via 8" attic fan. I also use an Ionic Breeze Quadra down in the garage for small amounts of odor. Great questions. I'm glad to answer any other ones you might have.

I harvested two plants at 45 days and another two at 60 days. This is the last two in that cycle ![]() Closer look... ![]() I know it looks like more then 4 ounces, it shrinks up alot after curing. I got a total of 6 ounces of Grade A and about 1and a half of Grade B (small pop-corn and lower bud). This does not include the hash made from clippings and leaf (I did not weigh that). My girlfriend won't smoke the hash becasue it "locks her up". I have to give it to other folks who can handle that kinda high. Last edited by Rumpleforeskin; 06-06-2006 at 02:32 AM..
