  | I'm on day 6 of flower. I have 9 females, 1 male, and two unkowns so far. 9:1 = 90% Not too shabby. For the expense I think I will always use bananas when I start from seed. I had 15 bananas in my room with twelve plants, some of my more important plants got 2. I started with 7 bananas just shy of 3 weeks, I added 8 more a week later.

| Yeah, I figure even if there is only a 10% chance it works, with all the expensive additives people use, how can you not try something that costs 50 cents.

| I posted this once, it disappeared. Weird. I've been prowling the net, they definitely use ethylene to accelerate ripening commercially, I even came across ethylene meters, both for testing and dispensing. It would be interesting to test with mj, but you might need an awful lot of bananas. Hmmm. Be right back, I'm going to go buy banana futures before word of this gets out.

| No - your post did not disappear it is here. I am not using ethylene to speed up ripening, I'm using it to influence sex.

| Hello fellow banana nuts ..... The experiment has begun  . What we have here are 30 seedlings, more precisely 29, one is a serious runt ... and I suspect it won't make it, but we'll see. Six bananas on the table starting Saturday night (12/8) at day 19 from breaking the soil. The plan is to pick another bunch tomorrow, and up the count to 12+ .... enough bc ??  jv
