  | Ok, so is there an anti-banana for making males? Normal ratios will be there w/o a nana, what could I do to increase the rate of males being produced? Sorry, I just had to ask. edit: Also, I wonder if it would have a positive effect on a strain that tends to herm? Stop the herm??? | ||

| Sorry to be an Egg-head BC. I just find it cool to see how it's so positive. I'm also wondering why so few people who said they were trying it didn't post their results yet. Probably just not patient enough. remember that based on anecdotal facts, people used to cure everything with a bleeding in the 17th century... (probably more a killing than a healing manoever)  | ||

| I only started this thread November 12 - less than 3 & a half weeks ago. Maybe I'm overly patient, but I think some people haven't gotten to the point to be able to determine sex yet and more results will be forthcoming - at least I hope so. I know enough about statistics to say they don't mean shit here. (Sorry.) At a minimum there has to be a control group and a large population to do a statistical analysis with any precision. Besides, I'm a gardener, not a mathemetician. FWIW one of my favorite textbooks in college was How To Lie With Statistics.

| Buckeye_01 you might be a little anxious and need another round of bananas.  The sex determination is somewhere in weeks 3 & 4, so I "plant" my bananas at 21 days and leave them there until at least day 35. Good luck!

| Hiya bc So, my girls (I hope!) will be approaching ~21 days this weekend ... right about when they'll be upgraded to 1 gallon pots. As of now, there are 30 seedlings growing, with a couple defectives ... which may or may not end up in a 1 gallon pot. Once the transplant occurs, they'll reside under the 400 mh ... covering an area of about 3 x 5'. Any idea about how many bananas would be right for this setup? Keep in mind I grow in an open 11 x 12' basement area with very little ventilation exhaust at this stage in their life. And how often do you change out the fruit? I suppose it depends on how ripe they are when they go in, right? Can they go in when they're still green? jv

| I've had bananas for almost two weeks now, we're at about 4.5 weeks overall. Flowering started two days ago, no signs yet, but soon.
