The neighbours toke so much they probably didn't notice, but... the other week, a friends' place had the police call about a rather nasty "domestic". (A woman beating up her g/f it seems.) So I'm listening to my friend standing in the hall talking to the police, and I'm thinking "If this had happened at my place last month, they would have smelt the weed, and I'd be busted." A fan and scrubber is going to cost me the price of 2 ounces. I'm not so interested in saving money as I am in saving my arse.

![]() | Haven't got anything done for smell control, if I don't do it soon, I'm gonna have problems. Gotta get it together.

![]() | i'm not going to begin my grow until i have everything mapped out, start to finish. i've read alot of threads about odor control where people begin there grow and try to fix problems as they come up. i'm planning on making the box dual chamber with another chamber in the top portion of the veg. room to house the ballasts and other electrical things (timers, ect.) this grow box will be placed in the attic. It will have to be built in the attic, and will have to be taken apart to remove it. since it is in the attic it will more then likely get pretty chilly during the winter. I figure i can move the ballasts from the housing chamber into the veg and flowering chambers themselves and use them as a heat source. I'm planning on investing in a couple of charcoal filters as well. Any thoughts, comments, and critisism are very much so needed.

![]() | i'm still planning on using a 400w MH for veg and the 1st week of flowering, and a 400w HPS for the rest of flowering. I'll use 2 3' flos for seedlings. I wasn't planning on putting the ballasts on the floor during the winter. I thought i'd make them a little shelf just a tad higher then the lights, or where ever happens to work best. I plan on training 5 plants in the veg chamber. Then i'll continue to train all the females in the flowering chamber. I'm planning on growing some bag seeds i got out of some real good bud. 5 seeds actually let's hope they all germinate! After my first grow (in the new box) i plan on ordering some seeds, i'm really undecided on what strain or what company give me a private message if you have any recommendations on who to buy from and what strain to get, i've been thinking alot about white widow or AK-47. I think it'd be really cool to grow a purple plant though. Does anyone out there have an opinion on growing white widow and AK-47? I've smoked both, and think they're pretty equal. Which do you think it more potent?

![]() | Ok, i was thinking that after i get the seeds i plan to order i could grow some and then get more seeds by pollinating a female. that's about how indepth i thought about it at first. Winter will be here before you know it , and where i live MJ won't like the temps much past mid october. the more i think about a male maturing inside, the more i am drawn away from it. i plan on making the box pretty air tight, but not completely air tight. i figure any cracks would just suck air in thanks to the exhaust fans. but i'm sure some pollen will make it out of the box... this is my main concern. pollen on clothes... pollen on my kitty (bamba, 17 lbs siamse cat, he takes no prisoners. )... and worst of all POLLEN ON FEMALES FROM THE NEXT GROW! Has anyone ever pollinated a female indoors? from what i gather... it wouldn't even be worth it. P.S. - I posted questions back to back, so don't forget about the post before this one ![]()
