so we don't know for sure if the ozone generator is slowly killing us or not, until we find out the hard way eh? ![]()

It says that Ozone can cause shortness of breath, chest pain, etc. Ive never experienced any of that..although I dont do pushups near the generator, either. ![]() I like having it around because it instantly knocks out the smell, but I only ever run it for maybe 60 seconds or so... Awake

![]() | ya, well, the reazon it eliminates odors, is because the ozone is kind of like an anti-odor... (much the same as the baking soda in your deoderant is)... so the ozone gets canceled by the pungent smell of the plant... thus you have odors, which then fall to the floor as inactive particles, and O2, which is the oxygen we normally breathe. and most indoor growers have adequate ventilation systems, so the ozone would RARELY, if ever, leak out into the house.

![]() | What if I have the plants and the ozone generator setup right in living room for example, since it is my own property, I have no worries of landlords. Will the ozone generator be a hazard to my health in this case then?

| i think you need to be reasonable - we know ozone is toxic, but not harmful in small quantities. so don't use any more ozone than you have to. turn the generator off if you don't need it. don't breath any more than necessary. ahhh...to me...there's nothing like the pungent wisp of a newly flowering #1 skunk accompanying my morning coffee... | ||

![]() | go with Jose... I'd say, if you smell the ozone, turn it off, otherwise it will dissipate and you'll be fine. It also decomposes when it touches an organic molecule (smells and such). so the right amount of the ozone will elimiate odors, if you overdo it, it will smell pretty raunch of ozone. also if the air is humid, the ozone will give off oxygen as singlet oxygen, and turn any air into hydrogen peroxide... so moistening the air should get rid of any excess ozone in the air. Arent you glad I studied a lot about ozone back in chem? also, arent you worried about friends or visitors seeing your plant in the middle of the room?

I'm not worried about visitors seeing it, cuz there will be no visitors. This house has been just sitting there for quite some time, and I just realized I could do a bit of work with it. It's quite discreet ![]()
