Lightbulb Free Containers

Don't know if anyone knew this but I went to my local grocery store deli/bakery and found that if you ask nicely you can usually get all the 5 gal buckets you need. It seams that most of the donut fillings and some of the wet ingredents to make food come in buckets. I found that my store was more than happy to get rid of a few.

good observation... one thing that is a problem with those containers is they are somewhat transparent to the light (White Containers). Buckets are often used in cafeterias to store things such as fruit salad, avoid ones that have had dangerous chems stored in them. Correct the transparency prob by taping it with masking tape or something to make it so light doesn't go through bucket.

If you are still uncertain ... It can't HURT to tape them & may prevent problems, so go for it !
It is cool that you can just bend a corner flap of the tape so it sticks to itself & you can easily pull back duct tape & some other tapes. Then you can still look at the roots & soil !!
Or maybe a black trash bag taped at the top (like a towel wrapped around your waist). Then you can just lift or pull back an edge.
