![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, roots will dry up and die in exposed sunlight for any length of time. You can touch them, trim them.... for a good look at just how much they can handle, look here. If you see signs of stress after transplanting (wilting) just set them in shade and sptitz the leaves with water every so often for a couple of days. They really can take a lot of punishment without causing problems, though.

![]() | Some people put them right under full light after transplanting. I would put them off to the side or in another place with no intence light for a few hours. Either way they'll live.

3Hounds, the fotos say May 2002. I'd love to see what those babies look like now. Think you could post a recent pic?

![]() | One thing overlooked :-) is that the way the roots were bound so tightly against the pot, it's wise to lightly shake/rub the dirt away and free them up, then place into your new medium and cover. Water with B12, resume lighting and you should be fine. An ex-employee of the fine Ferry-Morse Seed Co. bo

As you can see I have them stuck everywhere in not the greatest conditions. I have six in the ground (one I just posted under "Darn summer storms") and these 10 in buckets. What posessed me to start so many at once I'll never know. Live and learn.
