![]() ![]() ![]() | Water each plant thoroughly, and leave the pots in the shade/reduced light at least 24 hours. Any plants that show any wilting during this time need to stay in the shade/reduced light for several more days, and even as long as a week. Wilting means that too many roots were torn, and the plant is having trouble keeping moisture supplied to the leaves. Plants that were badly damaged and are wilting severely can be saved by reducing the amount of foliage that the roots have to support- this means trimming leaves. Leaves can grow back, but a dead plant is no good to anyone. I don't trim leaves unless the plant is showing extreme stress/wilting. Fortunately cannabis is a very hearty plant, and rarely shows any harm... none of these five wilted at all.

![]() ![]() ![]() | This type of product can be very useful when cutting plant roots. It and others like it are available at any plant/nursery shop, and most home improvement centers. Follow the label directions, and don't use any more than it calls for. While this does contain a small amount of nutrients, it is designed for just this application. Do not use any other type of fertilizer until after the plants show new growth. This will mean that new roots have taken hold and the plant has survived the stress and is ready to continue.

![]() ![]() ![]() | Here are the same 5 plants just 20 days after the separation- all are doing well and are much better off than they were before... feeling fine and growing gangbusters! I hope you have gained the confidence to now separate plants yourself, should you have any multiples. With a fair amount of care the plants come through just fine! Good luck and happy growing!

![]() ![]() ![]() | great thread 3hounds ![]() Ive always been good in the soil department and have done this meny times, But it is good for newbies none-the less. Another good way is to get someone to help you (if u can) and they slowly push the stems away from each other while you heavily water the soil .. This is easy as it just pulls away from each other. I see your a prosperous outdoor'er hounds? I was about 2 years ago but its become extremely suspicious, I prefer outdoor though just because of its simplicity but such good results.
