I don't believe that 20 cigarette/joint comparison. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is a link titled "cannabis joint hits lungs like five cigarettes".........to which they claim that smoking a joint will impact your breathing capacity as UP TO five cigarettes. This states a 5 cigarette/joint comparison as the maximum, and I remember watching an anti-drug commercial comparing a joint to 4 cigarettes.

First a joint was compared to 100 cigarettes. Then 20 (pack) and now up to 5. The statistics are all over the place and I would be more inclined to believe the anti drug commercial equivalent 4/1......even though I strongly despise these commercials

I know people who have been smoking pot for 30 + years and do not have the complications of a 20 year cigarette smoker

It's funny how they make these claims using tiny tiny less thana 100 people studies... I could interview 1000 people (of my choice) and take 100 of them to steer and control the results of a study too... Not that I'm aware that they did this, but still.

BUt seriously... lets look at the rising rates of cannabis use all around the world... You will not find a any significant correlations between the rise in cancer and the rise in cannabis use... Why? Because it doesn't (profanity here) CAUSE CANCER !!!!!!!!!


Find me a Doctor of Oncology or Hematology that has cancer patients from cannabis... With this "Cannabis Cancer Epidemic" there must be teams of doctors with such patients all over the industrialized cannabis consuming world!

It's all over the news right... I mean everyone knows a cannabis cancer patient in this epidemic and all the new cannabis cancer compassion societies popping up... Right? (<----sarcasm)

So I smoke 3 packs a day, maybe 2 or 3 joints, wow, that's 6 packs a day. I must have a real iron constitution. I always have hoped the MJ cancels out the cigarettes.

I can walk out my door and run a 10K and I have been doing as such since 1969 or so. What am I a freak of nature? An oddity? O I forgot to mention all the good weed Ive smoked along the way. So for all practical purposes according to the fools who dream up these fabricated reports they too can bend over.

3 packs of ciggarettes a day? I thought I smoked alot, but I suppose MJ will kill us long before ciggarettes... I don't believe that at all, I tend to trust naturally occuring chemicals to one's a bunch of tobacco company scientists cooked up.

MJ helps you with the marathons. Many marathon runners will smoke while training because it has similar effects as steroids but it is more tailored to the sport of running. It allows you to get more oxygen into the bloodstream thus getting more oxygen to your muscles. It also allows you to breath easier so you can run longer (train better). Myself, I used to smoke up before a soccer game because it would allow me to play the entire 90 minutes in both games of a double header.
