| something ironic when I watched the raw footage of the police entering the home, walking around, opening doors, then they slowly figure out what's going on, they joke and their behavior; it almost reminds me of just a group of thugs breaking and entering a citizen's house. I actually find this really sad, not funny  Go Barry Cooper!!!!!  | ||

| Actually, sounds like the makings for a good civil rights action. AND...when you exceed the scope of your authority (i.e., making up informants and then perjuring yrself to get a warrant), it leaves you open for a "Bivens" action, meaning that you can be sued in your individual capacity rather than in your "official" capacity. Suddenly, the world looks a lot different when its your individual assets that are being threatened by a suit.

| I think the title of the thread is a misnomer. He didn't bait anyone. He put some powerful lights and other equipment in a house and waited. He did absolutely nothing illegal. If the tv cops entrap someone, they have to be real careful about not soliciting and entrapping... the john has to make the play first on all the cop shows, right? What kind of bait did he offer anyone to premise a warrant? Oh this is juicy on the national stage! They had literally nothing as bait, so the cops weren't baited, they were using illegal means to raid a non-crime scene. The judge (If there was one involved) has to be contemplating an early Christmas holiday this year after sticking his head so far up his ass in public. What a brilliant setup, "you're being watched, so do what you think you need to do." Nothing makes a gentleman out of a cop like streaming video. And then to have an attorney there waiting... yeehaw! (Did they really have one there? Wasn't on the video.) Merry Christmas to the Brothers in Blue in Odessa. This is the best reality show ever, Barry! c'mon, you got anymore???   Pops
