| this is a step in the right direction. states should be left alone, and have their own laws. i think obama believes this. laws at state level should be left alone.

| This is a topic that Pres Obama addressed during his campaign. He said that he wants it to end. Just last week however a compassion club (I forget which state) was raided. Maybe that was the catalyst needed to finally end the ignorance of our states rights

| I AM surprised to here this from the USAG, I think the raids that took place in California were just Bush's/Walters's parting shots on the War on Cannabis.... sore loosers......   The news just keeps getting better everyday, that coupled with the statements calling for an end to prohibition made by 3 former South American presidents can hardly be ignored as well. Maybe in the coming weeks/month we will see the extradition hearing dropped for the BC3 OR if the hearing does take place maybe the AG will throw it out as a matter of political goodwill, US can't extradite Canadians, some plausible reason to say "Press on Mark" Remember the decision to extradite was made by the previous administration that had a huge bone up it's ass when it came to cannabis. I applaud Eric Holder's no BS approach during a press conference, he answers the questions and doesn't dance around them trying to placate the press. I also have to thank the one media type that asked the question about the raids to begin with. Let's see what happens when Gil Kerlikowske (ker-li-cow-ski) takes the reins of the DEA.
