| Oh God.. Is this gonna be like that Obama thing that got like 80% of votes for legal MJ and then the list was never even shown to Obama and the "top 10" were never listed in order just to keep ppl from seeing MJ was number 1? I forget the site but it was last yr. | ||

| Thanks much for posting this, V8d8Child! I just sent my letter. Cancer patient and anyone else that may think this is a waste of time: This bill may not pass, true. But the more times bills like that are proposed in congress, the more likely it becomes that one will pass. We have to keep pounding on the door, one day it will open! I see MJ issues in the news and being acted upon by state legislatures/voter referendums in ever increasing amounts. This is not a "send 1 letter and MJ will be magically legalised" thing; it's one tiny step in a long process that will one day free us from MJ prohibition. I can guarantee you one thing: If everyone sits on their ass and does nothing, that's what will change; nothing. The NORML site makes it easy-peasy, could not be more simple. Even picks your congressperson to send it to! Please participate and click that link RIGHT NOW!!!

NORML is seriously inept. Sending out a letter with just Frank and Paul's name attached to it, is the sort of thing that will cause their Congressional peers to laugh. The bill has 16 cosponsors...citing just Paul...is another example of NORML's decades long history of dropping the ball. "I feel confident we'll see legalization in under 5 year"....which is what they've said each year for the last 25. While they're well intended...its time for the old boys at NORML to hang up their hats. | ||

|  Despite the ineptness of NORML, this is very easy and while I don't think most congressmen listen to their constituants, I do think that some do and the more we send out the more likely we'll find the ladies and gents that actually represent us.
