Hemp legal in Oregon
Posted July 1st, 2009 by sentinel
Hemp legal in Oregon | Ron Paul Wins! | Campaign for Liberty at the Daily Paul

Oregon’s House of Representatives voted Monday night to legalize the cultivation of hemp, becoming the sixth state to do so just this year.

Oregon’s Senate voted 27 to 2 in favor of the new law last week. Monday’s 46 to 11 House vote means that the measure will become law, barring an unlikely veto by Governor Ted Kulongoski.The move is part of a rapidly growing nationwide trend to liberalize laws relating to marijuana. Hemp is a botanical cousin of marijuana, traditionally used to make clothing, rope and other durable fiber goods.

“Hemp is a versatile, environmentally-friendly crop that has not been grown in the U.S. for over fifty years because of a misguided and politicized interpretation of the nation’s drug laws by the Drug Enforcement Administration,” Vote Hemp President Eric Steenstra said in a statement.

“While a new bill in Congress, HR 1866, is a welcome step, the hemp industry is hopeful that President Obama’s administration will recognize hemp’s myriad benefits to farmers, businesses and the environment.”

Raw Story...

Does anyone know what distance pot pollin will travel? If its any kind of distance, this will really suck for outdoor and to an extent indoor growers.
Fuck hemp.

personally, i think the positives hemp will give back to our society in general will outweigh your crop being pollinated. maybe relocate indoors.

All over the net I can see images of millions of cannabis of all different kinds. I have yet to see just one image of this alleged cannabis plant that has no parts containing any signficant amounts of drug. And this is what I want to see if somebody shows me an image. I want to see flowers with no tricomes dripping with resin. And if it hasn't got any flowers or any reproductive parts, please explain where the plant comes from. You don't plant vast acres of hemp with clones. You must use seed. There is no such plant that is a "cousin" of "marijuana"

Hemp = Cannabis

Legalizing Hemp at the State level is great.

However, it has been demonstrated by the DEA and the Feds
that it is not allowed.

States can legalize Hemp, but they cannot grow it.

Pretty stupid huh?
